Do you feel stressed, burned out or overwhelmed?

Life can be chaotic and fast-moving and sometimes it can be difficult to take a step back from it all.

I aim to offer a service where you can just "be". Somewhere that you can fully express yourself free of judgment, step away from the chaos for a little while and bring anything to the session which is on your mind. I offer open-ended therapy sessions; I will be here for you as long as you need me to be and I aim to build a relationship with you where you are able to become more confident and feel you are able to become the best version of yourself.

// about //

My name is Laura I'm a person-centred counsellor based in Swindon, England. I am currently taking on new clients for online sessions weekly and have currently got availability for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays both in the daytime and evening. I studied a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB) at New College in Swindon, specifically in the person-centred modality. This means I believe the client is the expert on themselves, and the sessions would be client led, rather than directive. I offer person-centred therapy currently via online video call on a platform called Whereby. I'm also BACP Registered, which means you can search for me on the BACP register and counselling directory. I believe that building a trusting and genuine relationship with you will help us to explore events or issues within your life which may be bothering you. Sessions are up to an hour long and would be weekly for as long as you need. I'm experienced in working with both young people and adults and I'm open to work with clients aged 16 and over. If you're interested in working with me, please us the CONTACT page to fill out your info, or send me an email so that we can arrange an online video call for an initial assessment and to have a talk about what you are hoping to get from therapy sessions. I offer this assessment consultation via the online platform Whereby. The reason I do the assessment is that it's a great way for me to get to know you and what you'd like from the sessions, as well as making sure I'm a good fit for you as a counsellor and to make sure I'm able to meet any expectations you've got. We can also speak about any hopes or fears that you have about starting therapy - I know it can be a huge and scary first step! I look forward to hearing from you.

Initial assessment costs would be £30.

I usually send an introductory email alongside a link to the 'whereby' video page where you would be able to join the video call at the time of the appointment.
